The AKC Agility League is excited to announce a new class aimed at beginner dogs and handlers.
The Elementary skill level will launch in the Fall Season and will feature courses designed for pre-competition dogs. The courses will not contain weave poles or teeters. They will be flowing courses that are motivating for pre-competition dogs and new handlers.
Elementary will be offered in both the Regulation (min. 100 X 70) and Limited (min. 50 X 70) field-size divisions. Dogs must be 15 months old to participate in League.
“We hope this enables more dogs to participate in League and get valuable training and experience,” AKC Agility League Director Penny Leigh said.
Enrollment for the Fall Season opens on Aug. 15 and continues through Sept. 5. Competition starts on Sept. 16. For more information, write AgilityLeague@akc.org.
