AKC has launched an 18-month pilot program that will allow Juniors to handle All American Dogs in Junior Showmanship. Eligibility of Canine Partners to be entered in Conformation Junior Showmanship is limited to all-breed shows or events holding all-breed Junior Showmanship. These dogs must be enrolled in the AKC Canine Partners program.
AKC seeks to provide more opportunities for Juniors to participate in the sport of dogs and to provide them with a meaningful competition in which they can learn, practice, and improve in all areas of handling skill and sportsmanship. It will give new young people and their families the opportunity to participate in AKC Conformation Events.
