On Thursday, March 7, the Georgia House of Representatives adopted House Resolution 1368, which commends the benefits and contributions of purebred dogs and recognizes May 1, 2024, as Purebred Dog Day in the State of Georgia. HR 1368 is in addition to Senate Resolution 344, which was adopted by the Georgia Senate on January 24 to recognize Purebred Dog Day. Read AKC’s previous alert on SR 344.

Georgia dog owners are encouraged to send messages of thanks to their state Representatives for adopting HR 1368.
